Writers manually rework article headlines and social posts

Writers and publishers have to turn article titles into promotional posts, handling platform-specific formats, links, embeds, images, and character limits by hand. Local news writers also have to fit required town names into strict SEO headline limits. The cited workflows leave these transformations and checks to the writer rather than making them automatic.

For writers and publishers. Mentioned from Jul 2024 to Jul 2026 on Bluesky.

  1. Formatting is the most annoying part of the promos. I have to synthesize the article titles, then plug it into the different post formats. It's manual, repetitive, and annoying. Perfect for automating

  2. you have to specify the link start/end positions and add all the embed metadata manually, including uploading an image, which can’t be too large or it’ll error out. it also won’t shorten long URLs, so you have to truncate them manually
