People struggle to manage fragmented claims and medical paperwork

Patients, families, and insurance claimants have to collect documents, keep track of bills or requests, and follow up with institutions to keep important cases moving. Separate provider bills, incomplete records, fax requirements, and tedious claim correspondence make the work easy to lose track of; AI may help with some tasks but does not remove the need to manage the case itself.

For people managing complex medical or insurance paperwork. Mentioned from Jan 2024 to Sep 2026 on Hacker News.

  1. None of this is going to help deal with getting missing medical records from places that require that you literally fax random stuff to them, and then call to followup 18 times. I wish i was kidding
  2. For a while. Recently I'm getting it with the stupid "anesthesia is billed separate from the surgery" nonsense. At least this time I noticed the bill. Why is that not a single bill, though?
