Kubernetes file and volume operations still require manual workflows
Kubernetes developers and operators use manual command-line steps to move data between persistent volumes or transfer files to and from pods. They also want to inspect pod files while troubleshooting, but the signals describe requests for more convenient graphical workflows rather than one consistent solution. A focused tool could simplify these related file operations, though the launcher request is a more adjacent use case.
For kubernetes developers and cluster operators. Mentioned from Nov 2020 to Jun 2026 on Bluesky, GitHub and Hacker News.

Moving data between persistent volumes in Kubernetes has always been a manual and tedious process: scaling the deployment down to zero, mounting both PVCs in a temporary pod, copying with rsync, verifying integrity, and scaling back up
It would be nice to be able to graphically upload a file like one would do with : Why is this needed: DX (Developer Experience) would be improved if they didn't have to ship a new image to get a new version of their file uploaded to an environment
