Developers struggle to discover and configure coding fonts

Developers who customize editor typography have trouble finding installed fonts by the names their editors expect, previewing them in useful code samples, and keeping the experience consistent across apps. Some also want different fonts for comments or selective ligatures, but editor support is limited and workarounds can break. A focused font-selection tool could help with discovery and configuration, though it cannot make different apps render fonts identically.

  1. I also would find this extremely helpful as i cant even figure out the correct naming scheme to even select the font i'd want without having a list there to choose from
  2. This would be so good, and people have been hacking vs code to do this for more than 5 years, i would love if somehow we could implement as an official feature and dont worry about breaking vs code anymore
