Developers miss when long-running coding-agent tasks finish
Developers running Codex and other CLI coding agents can’t always tell when a task has finished without watching the screen. Alerts may be too easy to miss, and tasks running in a dev container may not have a convenient way to notify the host. It’s frustrating that I have to sit and stare at the screen just to know when it’s done. Since I work remotely, I could easily use that waiting time to do something else, as long as Codex informs me when it finishes
Upon completing my task, I need a way to notify the user that it’s done. Currently, there seems to be no method to send notifications from the terminal
